Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Dreamline (“Dreamline”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our iOS app and our website at dreamline.cloud.
Summary (the human version)
- You choose what you enter. Dream entries and birth details are optional inputs you control.
- Birth details are used for chart calculations. If you don’t provide enough data (like coordinates), we won’t compute a chart silently or incorrectly.
- We use trusted providers. Dreamline relies on services like Firebase (Google) for login/storage and OpenAI for optional AI interpretations.
- Purchases are handled by Apple. Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed through StoreKit / App Store.
Information we collect
- Account identifiers: Dreamline uses anonymous authentication by default (a random identifier associated with your device/account).
- Dream content you submit: dream text, titles, tags, and related metadata you choose to save.
- Birth details (optional): date, time (and whether time is known), and birth location coordinates/time zone when provided.
- Usage and diagnostics: app interactions, performance metrics, and crash reports (to keep the app stable).
- Purchase/entitlement data: subscription status and one-time purchase receipts/entitlements (via Apple).
- Support communications: messages you send to us (e.g., email) and any information you include.
How we use information
- To provide core features (dream journal, chart display, insights).
- To compute astrology data when you provide birth details (including time zone resolution from coordinates when needed).
- To generate optional AI interpretations and reports when you request them.
- To process subscriptions and one-time purchases and to restore purchases.
- To improve reliability (debugging, crash fixes) and understand feature usage.
- To prevent abuse, enforce our rules, and secure the service.
AI features (Oracle)
If you use Dreamline’s AI-powered features, we may send the text you provide (for example, a dream entry) and related context required to fulfill your request to our AI service provider (currently OpenAI). We send only what is needed to generate the result and return it to you.
How we share information
We share information only as needed to operate Dreamline:
- Service providers (processors): hosting, databases, analytics, crash reporting, and AI inference services (e.g., Firebase/Google, OpenAI).
- Apple: purchases and subscription management are processed by the App Store. We receive entitlement signals/receipts needed to unlock features.
- Legal / safety: if required to comply with law, protect rights, or prevent fraud/abuse.
Data retention
We retain information as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business purposes such as resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and improving reliability. You can request deletion of your data (see “Your choices”).
Your choices and controls
- Edit or delete your content: you can delete individual items within the app where supported.
- Birth details: you can skip birth details, or set time unknown — in which case Dreamline avoids showing houses/ASC/MC.
- Purchases: you can manage subscriptions in Apple ID settings and restore purchases from within the app.

Security
We use administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to minimize risk and restrict access.
Children’s privacy
Dreamline is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we’ll take appropriate steps.
International transfers
Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. We take steps to use reputable providers and appropriate safeguards.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above.
